North Jakarta Starts to Activate PPKM Mikro Posts

The North Jakarta administration has started to set up the command posts for the micro-scale public activity restrictions (PPKM Mikro) in its area.

North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim said those posts were set up at city, sub-district to urban village levels. They were the control center to strengthen coordination and information about the development of Covid-19 cases in the local area.

"We make sure that not only physical data but also activities in the division of tasks, who does what and who is involved," he expressed, Monday (6/28).

He said that four regional pillars, namely local government, army, police and puskesmas coordinated and collaborated on standby at the PPKM Mikro Command Post for 24 hours in turn. They were synergizing with each other in suppressing the spread of Covid-19 cases in their respective regions.

"Certainly this post is running according to the leadership's direction. The most important thing at this post is the synergy and collaboration with each other," he said.

He went on to say that the post provided dynamic and static data, such as the development of zones to residents who are undergoing independent and controlled isolation, including residents can also ask for help for residents who are exposed to Covid-19.

"We implement a picket system, the day and night there must be officers taking turns on standby at the post," he explained.

Aside that, officers would also coordinate and serve the needs of residents who are undergoing self-isolation up to the RT/RW level. People who were in self-isolation were also easily monitored, could be served and accelerated the healing process.

"The increasing number of active positive cases after the Eid holiday resulted in the handling of patients in a number of health facilities exceeding the limits of ability. We need to facilitate and help thus there is increase in number of health workers in order to prevent stack of patients in one health service," he stated.
